Pal-Think for Strategic Studies concluded a training programme titled “Freedom and Entrepreneurship Ambassadors”, which extended from June 2021 to July 2021, with support from the Atlas Network. This comes within Pal-Think's efforts in empowering youth in the Gaza Strip, strengthening their role and participation in society, and helping graduates face the crises of unemployment and the scarcity of work opportunities.

The encounter was opened by the director of “Pal-Think”, Mr Omar Shaban, thanking the trainers and trainees, and he said: “We are proud of this training because it enables students and graduates to build their capacities and develop their skills in the topics of entrepreneurship, small projects, and the preparation of the business plan.” Mr Omar Shaban extended thanks and appreciation to the programme's participants, to the trainer Mr Mohammed al-Afifi, and to the programme's supervisor Mr Badr al-Zaharna, as well as to the Atlas Network for its support of the project and the continuous partnership with Pal-Think to strengthen youth's role and give them the opportunity to create.

For his part, the programme's trainer Mohammed al-Afifi said: “The trainees show enthusiasm toward carrying out their entrepreneurial ideas, and they applied what they learned in the skills of preparing the business plan and the business model, and other diverse skills in marketing, attracting funding, and presenting and pitching ideas.”

The trainees spoke of the training's importance in supporting their entrepreneurial ideas and giving them the opportunity to learn new skills. The trainee Aseel Abu Haloub (21) said: “The training contributed to growing my capacities in preparing a detailed and precise business plan, and I intend to work with my team to carry out the entrepreneurial idea we worked on and developed during the training. In truth, I have received many trainings in entrepreneurship, but the method used, the scientific material, and the practical application in this programme were distinctive.”

As for the trainee Nevin Labad (20 years old), she said: “The training was distinctive. I learned much about the qualities of the successful entrepreneur, investment, opportunities, the process of critical thinking, and working within the team. The training restored our energy after the latest exceptional circumstances we passed through.”

The trainees likewise agreed that the programme developed their skills in putting forward the ideas they worked on, honed their personal skills, and increased their understanding in the topics of entrepreneurship, investment, and opportunity-making. They concluded their talk by thanking Pal-Think for its great efforts exerted since 2007 in carrying out projects and activities that focus on integrating youth into society and giving them the space to express and create in multiple fields.
