Within the role Pal-Think for Strategic Studies practises in strengthening the culture of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law in Palestinian society generally and among youth especially, Pal-Think issued the Civic Education Manual, with the participation of an elite of experts and trainers in the field of democracy, human rights, the rule of law, and gender-based violence.

This comes within the civic-education project implemented by Pal-Think for Strategic Studies with funding from the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), which included carrying out an intensive training programme that continued for ten training days targeting 25 university students, and focused on imparting to the trainees skills, knowledge, and information on the issues of democracy and human rights, gender-based violence, the Palestinian legal system, the principles of integrity and transparency, good governance, and the skills of presentation and delivery — with the participation of an elite of trainers in the mentioned fields. The project likewise comprised carrying out 5 radio encounters and carrying out 15 awareness meetings targeting Palestinian university students, carried out by the trainees themselves, in which they discussed the issues and topics they had been trained on during the project.

For his part, the director of Pal-Think for Strategic Studies, Mr Omar Shaban, affirmed that the issuing of this manual comes within the continuous efforts Pal-Think exerts in order to enrich and strengthen the Palestinian libraries with studies, research, and references in several fields, and that this manual was prepared in order to guarantee the sustainability of the project's effects and goals, to serve as a fundamental reference for researchers, trainers, and specialists in the issues of democracy and human rights. He likewise added that Pal-Think has many research works and papers that discuss and take up various issues in the Palestinian arena, welcoming entry to the institution's website to view them and benefit from them.

The manual consists of 76 pages, during which the topics of human rights, democracy, political participation and citizenship, governance and good administration, the system of government in Palestine, gender justice, and the skills of lobbying and advocacy were taken up.

These issues and topics were taken up in a simplified style easy for all citizens, especially youth, to deal with and use as a fundamental reference and an integrated training manual.
