Pal-Think holds its annual general assembly meeting

Pal-Think held its annual general assembly, discussing the administrative and financial report and the coming annual plan, attended by Ayman Al-Khalidi, director of the companies-oversight department at the ministry.

Pal-Think for Strategic Studies held its annual meeting of the general assembly of shareholders to discuss the administrative and financial report and review the coming annual plan, at its premises located in Gaza City. The meeting was held with the attendance of Mr Ayman al-Khalidi, “director of the companies-oversight department” at the Ministry of National Economy in Gaza, and Mr Hamdi al-Absi, “an employee at the companies-oversight department at the Ministry of National Economy in Gaza”, and with the attendance of 10 members of the company's general assembly.

The meeting was opened by Mr Omar Shaban, founder and director of Pal-Think for Strategic Studies, welcoming the attendees and wishing safety for all in light of the difficult circumstances the whole world is passing through, especially in light of the spread of the coronavirus. He likewise affirmed the Pal-Think institution's role in enriching, strengthening, and encouraging discussion, dialogue, and joint reflection around the issues that concern the present and future of the Palestinian people, and pointed out that the Pal-Think institution, through its activities and projects, has worked to strengthen cooperation and partnership between the institutions from all the Palestinian governorates through supporting and funding the joint initiatives between the governorates. He likewise affirmed that Pal-Think gives great attention to investing in youth through strengthening and developing their research capacities, bringing their points of view closer together, and strengthening the language of dialogue among them.

He likewise presented a summary of the institution's activities during 2020, especially in the field of strengthening the culture of non-violence, communal reconciliation, and national dialogue, in addition to strengthening the research skills of youth and encouraging partnership between the various institutions in the Palestinian governorates.

The financial report was read in its text by the financial auditor, “Al-Wafa Company for Financial Consulting and Auditing”, and the financial and administrative reports for the year 2020 were approved, the members of the board of directors were discharged, and an external auditor of the accounts for 2021 was elected — with the attendance of Mr Ayman al-Khalidi and Mr Hamdi al-Absi from the companies-oversight and auditing department at the Ministry of National Economy.

Worth mentioning is that Pal-Think for Strategic Studies is an independent Palestinian civil research institution licensed by the registrar of companies at the Ministry of Economy in the Palestinian National Authority since March 2007, and works on the important national issues at the local, regional, and international level, in addition to investing in the youth category and strengthening their capacities and skills.
