Pal-Think runs a series of workshops on community awareness and conflict resolution
Continuing its philosophy of spreading cultural awareness among Palestinian youth, Pal-Think began a series of workshops on community awareness and conflict resolution across Gaza's governorates, under the MEPI-funded «Youth as a force for positive change» project.

In continuation of the working philosophy of Pal-Think for Strategic Studies in spreading cultural awareness among Palestinian youth, Pal-Think for Strategic Studies began organising a series of workshops and meetings on communal awareness and conflict resolution in the various governorates of the Gaza Strip, falling under the project “Youth as a positive force for change”, which comes with funding from the U.S. Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI). These meetings aim at developing the capacities of Palestinian youth of both sexes in the fields of communal awareness and the ways of resolving conflicts by peaceful means, in addition to strengthening the values of tolerance and constructive dialogue among the youth stratum.
Mr Omar Shaban, director of the Pal-Think for Strategic Studies institution, affirmed the importance of these meetings for the scientific and educational benefit they will return to our Palestinian youth, which in its turn will allow them acquaintance with essential issues that return benefit to them in their lives and dealings and help them acquire the needed expertise in the various fields in what serves their future.
According to the project, many activities and meetings will be held on strengthening the preceding concepts, planned and implemented by five youth groups chosen from the various governorates of the Gaza Strip after passing an intensive training course of 10 days on “communal awareness and conflict resolution”.
Shaban affirmed that these meetings will focus on many important and vital subjects such as: women's rights in society, the youth's role in strengthening the values of tolerance in Palestinian society, the concepts of conflict resolution, and the youth's pioneering role in society, in addition to other lectures in development.
On the aspirations of the youth taking part in these activities, they affirmed that these activities contribute greatly to honing their personality and enriching their knowledge side, in addition to their positive reflection on their scientific and professional future. As for the youth receiving these activities, they affirmed that they work to strengthen many positive concepts among the youth stratum in society, and develop many cultural values useful to them — expressing in the end their hope of reaching a youth able to bring positive change in society.
