Within the activities of the Youth Forum for Reconciliation and Tolerance affiliated to Pal-Think for Strategic Studies, as a youth gathering aiming to deepen the concepts of dialogue and develop the scientific-research skills of Palestinian youth, the Youth Forum organised an encounter within the second stage of the “course on writing research papers and articles”. The encounter gathered the young men and women who benefited from the intensive theoretical course in writing research papers held last August. The participants were divided into small groups to write their research papers as miniature working teams, in a way that works to strengthen the principles of partnership and working in a team spirit among them. The participating youth put forward their ideas and proposed many important research titles.

The work was supervised by Dr Wasim al-Habil, associate professor of administrative and research sciences at the Islamic University, who proposed some titles for the youth that enabled them to choose their research topics. The research topics centred on the elections, transparency in following up funding from the donor institutions, the important role of communal awareness, topics related to persons with special needs, mechanisms of activating youth, and entrepreneurship. The youth agreed to continue the encounters to follow the development of their papers in order to take feedback from the mentors, so that their papers become more precise and ready for publication.

Worth mentioning is that the course on writing research papers is divided into three stages: the first: three theoretical training encounters in which the members received the training scientific material for writing research papers; the second: dividing the young men and women into different groups to write a research paper or an extended article; and the third: presenting and delivering the research papers and publishing them.
