How did «Together We Prevent Violence» shape the running of debates?

Bunyan Association for Community Development, with Pal-Think, implemented the «Together We Prevent Violence» initiative in Khan Younis, under the «Benefits of a culture of nonviolence» project — building an environment of tolerance and acceptance of difference.

The Bonyan Association for Community Development carried out yesterday, Monday (7-5), in cooperation with Pal-Think for Strategic Studies, the initiative “Together We Prevent Violence” in the city of Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip.

The initiative comes within the project “The benefits of the culture of non-violence”, which aims to contribute to creating an environment filled with tolerance and acceptance of difference, and free of violence.

The initiative comprises a training course on how to manage the art of youth debates, with the participation of 20 trainees from the different areas of the Khan Younis governorate, with regard for the participation of both sexes (gender), of different ages.

The attendees discussed the fundamental principles of debates, in addition to their kinds and methods, and training in delivering and forming a speech and the scientific methods of searching for arguments and evidence.

The initiative contributed to strengthening the fundamental principles of debates, and raised the culture of debates existing among the participants through practical participation and discussion among the attendees.
