A reading of Gaza's electricity crisis and the ways to confront it

The electricity crisis in the Gaza Strip is terrifying like the occupation and chronic like the negotiations, and it does not enjoy sufficient attention from the Palestinian officials, as is the case with the Palestinian reconciliation. And although it has been researched to saturation, this catastrophe still looks in upon us from time to time. In this analysis, an attempt to specify the strategic causes of the crisis and a proposal of the ways of solution.
Proposed strategies for the solution:
It is observed that the dealing with the crisis of the electricity's cutting in the past years has not gone beyond the daily and temporary solutions, and it has been a field of competition between the two governments — the Palestinian Authority's in Ramallah and Hamas's in Gaza — with each of them accusing the other of causing it. The crisis must be confronted strategically through its fundamental causes, pointed to previously. Annulling the contract concluded between the Palestinian Authority and the generation company, which will make available the amount of 2.5 million dollars, and directing it to buying the fuel or the electric current itself, which will lower the cost of the consumption bill. Likewise demanding of the generation-plant company the return of the additional amounts it received for electricity it never produced at all. With the affirmation of the necessity that the attorney-general in the Palestinian Authority take the initiative of conducting an official and popular investigation to uncover the hidden matters that accompanied the signing of this contract, which is described as the unjust contract.
