The case study “Renewable energy in the Gaza Strip: short-, medium-, and long-term solutions” aims at setting out and clarifying the obstacles, the challenges, and the recommendations that were manifested from the sprouting of the ideas of the principal participants during six workshops and brainstorming discussions, begun by the Pal-Think for Strategic Studies institution and the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation within the project “Renewable energy as a sustainable solution to the electricity crisis in the Gaza Strip”.
The recommendations and the approaches to be followed focused on three levels: short-, medium-, and long-term, so that decision-makers can adopt them and take them up in the future to examine the alternative ways of overcoming, even if partially, the electricity crisis by way of renewable energy.
