Within Pal-Think for Strategic Studies' work as an independent research and reflection institution producing knowledge in Palestinian society, Pal-Think implemented, in partnership with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, the project “Strengthening entrepreneurship for Palestinian youth”. Pal-Think expresses its pride in the partnership with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in planning and implementing this pioneering project, which came to meet the needs of the local market and aims to plant the culture of entrepreneurship among youth through learning the concepts of community entrepreneurship — for the real, effective impact this has in creating job opportunities, and as a serious attempt to reduce the rising unemployment rates among youth, by honing their skills so they can design and plan their creative entrepreneurial ideas. Pal-Think hopes the project, with its papers and various activities, has formed a qualitative addition in support of youth entrepreneurial ventures.
The project aimed to strengthen the skills of (20) young people of both sexes — students and graduates of the Palestinian universities in the Gaza Strip — on entrepreneurial ventures in the Palestinian environment, the reality of start-ups, and the economic barriers facing Palestinian youth in the Gaza Strip, through training meetings for the target group, a set of radio episodes discussing youth entrepreneurial ventures in the Palestinian business environment, and then the production of three research papers discussing the challenges and opportunities before young people's creative ventures in the Palestinian business environment. This publication comes as the crowning of the sessions presenting and discussing the three research papers with experts and researchers from Palestinian civil-society institutions and youth.
