A policy-analysis paper issued by Pal-Think for Strategic Studies addressing the reality of Palestinian youth participation in decision-making through the ballot box, and how the Palestinian division and its cumulative repercussions on Palestinian society have weakened youth participation rates in communal engagement and decision-making. The paper aimed to find practical alternatives and policies to strengthen Palestinian youth participation in decision-making through the ballot box, whether general or civil elections, in addition to finding urgent solutions, amid the division, to strengthen youth access to decision-making positions.

The paper put forward alternatives that would strengthen the political participation of Palestinian youth under the current circumstances — a policy endorsed by official and unofficial institutions alike, though it has not yet reached the path of implementation.

This paper comes within the “Preparing Young Leaders” project.
