This study, by researcher Islam Mousa Atallah, explores the prospects of governance in the current Palestinian condition.
Despite Palestine registering notable progress in laying down the applications and philosophies of governance amid the pressures it faces, its classification in the 2022 annual Fragile States report placed Palestine in the “high warning” category, after scoring 85.6 out of 120 and ranking 37th among 179 states.

The study discusses the warning and weakness points the index revealed in the Palestinian case, on the premise that assessing risks and documenting their details is a necessity for recovery along a sustainable path — toward strengthening development and the philosophies of governance, and repairing and adjusting the structures in line with the vision of building back better toward governance.
