Pal-Think publishes a comprehensive guide for entrepreneurs

Spreading the culture of entrepreneurship and self-employment among youth, Pal-Think published a comprehensive guide for entrepreneurs, «How to Start Your Business», with expert trainers in entrepreneurship contributing.

Within the frame of the efforts Pal-Think for Strategic Studies exerts in spreading the culture of entrepreneurship and freelance work and supporting the idea of founding private enterprises in youth circles, Pal-Think issued a comprehensive manual for entrepreneurs titled “How to start your project”, with the participation of an elite of experts and trainers in the field of entrepreneurship, empowerment, and private enterprises.

This came within the Ambassadors of Freedom and Entrepreneurship project, implemented by Pal-Think with funding from the Atlas Network, which included carrying out a training course targeting a group of entrepreneurs among the students and graduates of the Palestinian universities on the concepts of entrepreneurship, empowerment, and freelance work, and the stages and mechanisms of founding small enterprises. The trainees were likewise given the opportunity to pass on what they learned through carrying out awareness meetings targeting their young peers.

In light of that, Mr Omar Shaban, “director of Pal-Think for Strategic Studies”, mentioned that this project's implementation comes amid the conditions and problems the university graduates in the Gaza Strip suffer, foremost the problem of unemployment — especially amid the rise of graduate numbers yearly and the scarcity of available work opportunities. There has thus arisen a dire need to spread the culture of entrepreneurship, which counts among the solutions that contribute to helping the graduates invest their capacities and find societal solutions that yield them income.

He likewise added that this concise manual stands as a road map for entrepreneurs to reach fundamentals that help them build their own businesses through focusing on the skills of entrepreneurship and the building of business models and their marketing — these skills counting as fundamental for building the “entrepreneur's mindset” and the way of thinking suitable for enabling the finding of creative solutions to the problems around them.

The manual comprises several topics, foremost: “the advantages of entrepreneurship, the entrepreneur's traits, how to find a suitable idea for a private project, searching for ideas for your project, assessing opportunities and analysing points of strength and weakness, the entrepreneurial project's traits, the business model, the components of the business model, marketing, market research, the marketing mix, the product, the place, pricing, promotion”.
