Al-Aqsa Sports Club concludes the «Our Neighbourhood in Colour» initiative
Al-Aqsa Sports Club, with Pal-Think, concluded the «Our Neighbourhood in Colour» initiative under «Restoring hope to Gaza's youth and children» — free spaces for Gaza's young people for psychological release and recreation.
The Al-Aqsa Sports Club, in partnership with Pal-Think for Strategic Studies, concluded the initiative “Our Neighbourhood Is Colourful”, within the activities of the project “Restoring hope to the youth and children of Gaza”, which aims to provide free spaces for Gazan youth for psychological release and recreation.
The initiative aimed to contribute to the psychological release of the children after the war, with their families' participation, through offering many activities — among them colouring one of the neighbourhoods of the New Camp area and painting murals with the help of the area's residents and the adolescent boys and girls, who expressed their happiness at taking part in this activity, the first of its kind in this area, creating an atmosphere of familiarity and cooperation among the residents. In addition, a recreational day was organised for the area's residents with the participation of a number of the Al-Aqsa Sports Club's volunteers: sports competitions, popular dabke, and face-painting for the children. The sports marathon “Life Is Hope” was likewise organised, in which 60 children took part, setting off from the entrance of al-Zahra city to the University of Palestine in the city. A recreational day was likewise organised for a number of children and their mothers at the Karamish park, to contribute to drawing the smile on their faces; the mothers expressed their happiness at taking part with their children in the recreational activities carried out on the trip, which created an atmosphere of fun and joy and departure from the familiar, sharing with their children the collective games and competitions.
