PalThink for Strategic Studies

A specialised training course on developing youth entrepreneurship skills concludes

Under the youth-entrepreneurship project with the Atlas Network, Pal-Think concluded the training «Developing youth capacities in entrepreneurship skills» for 20 participants from Gaza's civil-society organisations.

Under the project “Strengthening entrepreneurship for Palestinian youth”, Pal-Think for Strategic Studies, in partnership with the Atlas Network, concluded a training programme, “Developing youth capacities in entrepreneurship skills”, for 20 participants from civil-society institutions in the Gaza Strip.

The course focused on giving the participants advanced skills in economic development and the entrepreneurship environment, in addition to the methodologies of practical and policy research on the developmental and entrepreneurial issues of the Palestinian business environment.

The project's subsequent activities and events include producing policy papers serving the entrepreneurial economy in Palestinian society and presenting them in workshops gathering civil-society institutions, economists, and those working in the entrepreneurship field — in addition to raising the entrepreneurial issues of the Gaza Strip in the Palestinian media.

On the closing day, Mr Omar Shaban, director general of Pal-Think, stressed the importance of developing the Palestinian business environment in light of the fragility of the Strip's economic situation, of joint cooperation among those working in civil-society institutions, of offering realistic solutions to confront the challenges and obstacles, and of trying to open new horizons that strengthen the growth of the Palestinian economy and effectively absorb young people of both sexes.

The training course comes within Pal-Think's strategy of building a strong partnership with community institutions and their staff to raise the entrepreneurial business environment in the Gaza Strip.
