Call for initiatives strengthening nationwide cooperation among Palestinian NGOs

As an independent Palestinian institution working in political, economic and community development — and applying its philosophy of full partnership with society's structures — Pal-Think extends an open invitation to participate.

In continuation of the work of Pal-Think for Strategic Studies, as an independent Palestinian institution working in the field of political, economic, and communal development, and in application of the philosophy of full partnership with the structures and components of Palestinian society, the Pal-Think for Strategic Studies institution is honoured to invite the Palestinian civil organisations to submit proposals for communal initiatives aiming at strengthening cooperation between the Palestinian civil organisations at the national level, within the project “Strengthening the contribution of the community organisations to building the future Palestinian state”. The project focuses on discussing the challenges and issues facing Palestinian society and presenting scientific visions and policy proposals that support the National Authority's efforts in building the Palestinian state; likewise enabling the civil-work organisations to confront and treat the repercussions of the division through implementing joint activities and events, and contributing to unifying the visions and priorities between the Palestinian civil and official sectors in all the regions.

Conditions for submitting the initiatives:

  • The necessity of partnership in the initiatives between two civil institutions from the northern and southern governorates.
  • The institutions must be licensed and registered for three years and have bank accounts.
  • The applying institutions must enjoy previous experience and a capacity to plan and implement the initiative in a highly professional manner.
  • The submitted initiative must be qualitative, with a clear goal and positive effects on society.

  • The initiative includes a number of consultation sessions between participants from the homeland's governorates around the chosen issue.

  • Summarising the results of the discussion in a paper of no more than 5 pages in the Arabic language with a summary in English (the problem, its causes, and the solutions proposed for it) and presenting it to the public and the decision-makers.
  • Preference will be given to the initiatives that carry the seeds of continuity and sustainability.
  • The budget available for each initiative is 6000 shekels (six thousand shekels).
  • The initiatives are implemented within a period of 3 months from the date of approval.
